Bijon Imtiaz

Cross-border South Asian cinema for festival, theatrical, and broadcast audiences, made in co-production from Dhaka to Los Angeles, and taught to the next generation at UCLA and CSUN.

Overview

Bijon Imtiaz directs, writes, and produces films that move between Dhaka, Los Angeles, and the festival circuits in between. His work has premiered at Seattle and competed at Venice, and his current slate is developing through Sundance, Berlinale, Cannes' La Fabrique, and Locarno's Open Doors. He is also on faculty at UCLA and Cal State Northridge, where he trains the next generation of directors and producers.
